Looking for chalet or shared accommodations on Cape MaClear beach? We’ve got you covered, and offer Internet access, private verdanas, lake views and kitchen facilities.
Here at Gecko we have two family sized self contained Chalets that comprise of 1 x Double bed, 1 x Bunk bed, fully working kitchen facilities, en-suite toilet & hot shower, table fans, bed-side lamps, mosquito mesh windows & nets, candles & matches, private veranda looking out over the lake, braii area and hammock, secure parking space & internet access.
Rates for these rooms after the 13th March 2008 until year end are (non inclusive of 16.5% VAT):
Single person: $50 per night
Double: $70 per night
Three people: $80 per night
Four people: $90 per night
Baobab & Acacia - New Double rooms at Gecko
Newly built as of July 2008 we have 2 x extra rooms called Baobab & Acacia - both come with en-suite facilities & lake-views & priced @$50 per room (sleeping two people per room with doubles or single beds - The Baobab room can add an extra bed for $10 per night). The lake view rooms have African Habitat Mosquito nets & mesh windows, valuables lockers & padlocks, towels, fans, candles & matches and are decorated with African artwork.
Shared Accommodation at Gecko
We also have a shared accommodation area which has 5 x bunk beds & 1 single bed & an en-suite toilet & shower in the room. There is a private veranda with lake view, mosquito mesh windows & mosquito nets. There is also a 10 box wooden locker that people can use to store valuables either by using their own padlocks or by hiring a padlock against deposit from us. People can also loan towels against deposit as well.
Rates for the beds in this room are as follows:
Single Bed per night - $10 .
For two people or more to hire the dorm for private use only we look for a $40 minimum from the room & only offer subject to availability, season & not at weekends.
